Internet Connection

  • • Minimum 1 Mbps for basic functionality
  • • 2-5 Mbps recommended for smooth experience
  • • Stable connection required during tests
  • • Mobile data or WiFi both work fine

Device Requirements

  • • Works on Desktop, Laptop, Tablet, Mobile
  • • Screen resolution: 1024x768 or higher recommended
  • • JavaScript must be enabled
  • • Cookies must be enabled for saving progress

Troubleshooting

❌ Questions not loading

Possible causes and solutions:

  • Check your internet connection
  • Refresh the page (F5 or Ctrl+R)
  • Clear browser cache and cookies
  • Try a different browser
  • Disable browser extensions/ad blockers temporarily

⏱️ Timer not working properly

The timer runs locally in your browser:

  • Refresh the page - your answers are auto-saved
  • Check if JavaScript is enabled
  • Close other browser tabs consuming resources
  • Update your browser to the latest version

💾 Lost my test progress

Progress is stored in your browser's localStorage:

  • Don't clear browser data during tests
  • Use the same browser for consistency
  • Progress is device-specific (not synced across devices)
  • Incognito/Private mode doesn't save progress

📱 Mobile display issues

Optimizing mobile experience:

  • Use portrait mode for better readability
  • Zoom in/out if text appears too small/large
  • Close other apps to free up memory
  • Use WiFi instead of mobile data for better stability

❗ Submit button not responding

When submit doesn't work:

  • Check if all required questions are answered (if applicable)
  • Scroll to the bottom of the page
  • Wait a few seconds and try again
  • Refresh and use the "Resume Test" option

1How to Start a Test

  1. Step 1:Go to the home page and select "UGC NET"
  2. Step 2:Choose Paper 1 or Paper 2
  3. Step 3:For Paper 2, select your subject (e.g., English)
  4. Step 4:Browse available tests and click "Start Test"
  5. Step 5:Read instructions carefully and click "Begin Test"

2During the Test

  • Use Previous/Next buttons to navigate between questions
  • Click on question numbers in the palette to jump directly
  • Your answers are automatically saved in your browser
  • Monitor the timer displayed at the top
  • You can change answers anytime before submitting

3After Completing

  • Click "Submit Test" when you're ready
  • Confirm your submission in the popup dialog
  • View your instant results with score breakdown
  • Review all questions with correct answers and explanations
  • Take the same test again to improve your score
